At the heart of our ministry lies a promise—one of hope, remembrance, and eternal life. That promise was beautifully reaffirmed with the recent renovation of the Resurrection Mausoleum at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Phoenix, as shared in The Catholic Sun.
In a rededication ceremony filled with prayer and reverence, the Most Rev. John P. Dolan, Bishop of Phoenix, called the newly renovated space “a reminder that our faith is rooted in the Resurrection.” For those of us serving in Catholic cemeteries, his words are more than symbolic—they’re foundational.
The updates to the mausoleum include a striking blend of light, glass, and sacred art that creates a sense of peace and transcendence for all who enter. These enhancements not only honor the loved ones laid to rest there, but also uplift the families and communities who visit.
We are proud to recognize the work of the Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Cemeteries & Funeral Homes—one of our own CCFW members—for their vision, stewardship, and commitment to maintaining sacred spaces that reflect the dignity of life and the hope of the Resurrection.
As Catholic cemetery professionals, we understand the quiet power of beauty, faith, and presence. The Resurrection Mausoleum now stands as a renewed place of solace, prayer, and promise for generations to come.
